Day 82 · Wk 12🏺Curing
6/24/2026

been a while and the site says i should be curing by now. but who’s to say? matt’s gonna come over tomorrow night and we’ll assess what to tell charlotte to do with it while im gone. either water it or not.

🔬 Check Plant Health

Day 64 · Wk 10🌻Flowering
6/5/2026

i starved her a little by accident but i’ve been trying to pick up the slack… giving ~1 gal of water every other day and 4 tbsp of big bloom every other watering, and 1 tsp cal mag like every third watering

Temp: 69.1-79°FRH: 49.3-61.8%VPD: 1.22 kPaWater: 1 galNutes: FF big bloom 4 tbsp
Average humidity 55.6% (day 61.8%, night 49.3%) is above the flower target of 40–50%.

Drop average RH below 50% in flower. Sustained high humidity is the leading cause of bud rot.

🔬 Check Plant Health

Day 52 · Wk 8🌻Flowering
5/25/2026

she’s nutrient-deficient but i gave her 1 tsp of CalMag today with 1/2 gallon of water. cat sitter watered 1/2 gal yesterday as well. having trouble keeping the tent at the right VPD while it’s been cold and rainy but hopefully it will be easier in the next few days. smells good tho

watered a full can again (mostly distilled water) and sprayed heavily again with nuke ‘em. pics are dark bc i turned the lights off to let the leaves dry. i pray for the downfall of these spider mites. amen

5/7/2026

oh MANNNN these spider mites are BASTARDS!!! watch the video in this post and wait for the jump scare at the end. “this is all DE, i promise…” HAH! fuckin famous last words bro. ok so. spoiler alert, i saw more mites. a few on the plant, and more all over the soil and stakes. so i realized the diatomaceous earth has really not incapacitated them in the way i wanted it to. maybe bc the environment in the grow tent is so humid?? DE can’t really get wet. anyway… so i watered 0.5 gal and then i whipped up a bigass batch of nuke ‘em insecticide (16 oz water, 0.5 oz nuke ‘em concentrate. active ingredient: citric acid) and i sprayed like 1.5 full doji spray bottles worth of that stuff. all over the leaves, top and bottom. up in the nooks and crannies as much as possible. on the stem. and then lots on the soil and around the outside of the pot. the doji spray bottles are small tho, how many fl oz? idk. but it felt pretty comprehensive. then i dimmed the light to minimize stress while the leaves were wet with this stuff. and i did some LST with garden wire in the dim light while the leaves dried. then i turned the light all the way off. i timed the insecticide application such that i can let the leaves dry and keep the light off for the next 4 hours in its 20h on /4h off cycle. i do have little pistols forming! maybe ill be okay!!!! we’re gonna be alright fam we just keep on keeping on

Temp: 66-76.9°FRH: 39.2-70.2%VPD: 1.05 kPaDLI: 38.5 mol/m²/dWater: 0.5 gal

watered a little under 1/2 gallon and did some leaf tucking. was thinking about increasing light intensity but the canopy has grown a little so the DLI is effectively higher because the plant top is closer to the light.

Temp: 67.3-77.2°FRH: 51.2-61.6%VPD: 0.99 kPaWater: 0.4 gal
Day temps have risen 4.3°F over the last 9 days (72.9 → 77.2°F).

no actions yesterday. let her breathe today - inspected for mites and did not see any on the plant itself but did see them in the dirt around the stakes. watered ~1/2 gal and let that dry a bit, then tonight i’m going to apply some DE.

spider mites treated

watered ~1/3 can top, 1/3 can bottom. treated spider mite infestation with Matt’s homemade miticide: sprayed top and underside of each leaf and node, used a clean soft makeup brush to brush the solution onto the leaf to physically disrupt any webbing or eggs. pics are of clean leaves after this process. i didn’t see a whole lot of mites on there during the process but tried to be thorough regardless. sprayed top of soil and outside of the fabric pot as well, after the water had had a chance to sink in. also ordered diatomaceous earth, my pesticide cure-all, for potential use going forward. ordered garden wire; continuing with LST using stakes for now. LIGHT changes too: i put the lights on a 20 on / 4 off timer, and adjusted the DLI to up to like 38, on that 20/4 schedule. //EDIT: i took DLI back down to 31 per matt’s advice to focus on tender loving careeeee. basically no time at 38. keeping the 20/4 schedule tho.

🔬 Check Plant Health

Day 29 · Wk 5🌿Vegetative
5/1/2026

i saw tiny bugs and i failed to calibrate the pH meter - i mixed the 6.86 pH solution into 250 mL of distilled water and, as instructed, pressed calibrate for 5 seconds; this did not yield anything flashing or the promised recalibration to 6.86. but whatever i guess. then after i failed to calibrate it in special water i stuck it directly into the dirt and was like hm why does it say 14 now and then i stuck it somewhere else in the dirt and it said 6.something and then i was like hm wait maybe this is supposed to go in the water not directly in the soil … even when it’s not being calibrated and then i thought i wish the calibration worked, maybe i should do more research on equipment instead of just buying everything my favorite grow website recommended and assuming it would worrrkkkkk JK that’s def the right method. but also- i saw tiny bugs. i did not like that. i had never seen them before. we gave it a big old full watering can yesterday and today the tiny bugs were everywhere all over the dirt. i didn’t notice them on the plant itself but it’s a slippery slope probably??? ugh i’m discouraged ok love you little plant it’s gonna be ok

🔬 Check Plant Health

Day 26 · Wk 4🌿Vegetative
4/29/2026

look at my little bonsai tree!!! pics are before/after. i unstaked her, thought about it, put in a hopefully-sorta-permanent 2-pronged stake in nearer the base, and then put the single-leg hook stake in nearer the top which we can more easily move to continue shaping and getting those lower leaves some light. i did notice a little more yellowing on some of those leaves. let’s see what plant health analysis has to say about it. no water today, soil didn’t feel like it quite needed it yet, altho some spots were drier than others. NOTE for our beloved dev team! should we add a place for DLI in the environment & feeding section? i’m uploading my photone screenshots here and would love a place to record that data. then the plant health analysis could take that into account too, which would be cool. in any case i’m about to go check the DLI chart and adjust as needed. i think it’s actually way too low rn bc my canopy actually got further away from the light when i started using stakes. plus it might be ready for higher light anyway. EDIT TO ADD: yes, she was light-deficient according to our chart. at 3 weeks she should’ve been bumped to 30, and she almost 4 weeks now! so i bumped her to 31 (second screenshot). still on a 24h schedule bc i don’t know how to manage the timer yet and figured lets change one thing at a time. but soon i want her to be able to rest at least 4 hrs. maybe tomorrow.

did a big watering with first add of nutrients

it’s been looking like the plant needs more water and perhaps its first nutrient food. so, combining Matt’s and AI’s recommendations: mixed a little over a liter of water (~40 oz) with a little under 1 tbsp of fox farm big bloom nutrients (the one that’s “gentle enough to use at any stage”) and thoroughly watered, letting excess drip down into the bottom tray. /edited to add: also upped DLI to 20 per DLI age chart

uh oh! minor yellowing on edges

i think bottom-watering is not working yet. not good for the early stages. too far away from the baby root system. that’s my theory. the water tray starts growing white wisps in it, and meanwhile the leaves are going yellow from apparent thirst? it’s a mess. so i dumped out the bottom-water tray and we’re gonna just top-water for a while.
